Bye Bye Des Moines!

Des Moines was Rob and my first real home together as a married couple. We really loved it and will miss it dearly.

Our top 10 list of things we will miss:

1. Friends! We made some amazing friends in Des Moines and we will miss them most of all!
2. Our Condo!- It was a lovely home, so comfortable and cozy.
3. Park behind school - picnicked there, went sledding and took Maddi out all the time. We always saw deer there and found it a private place for us that nobody else used
4. Jordan Creek area - Our home away from home
5. Park at the Art Center. It was a great place and the lake with all the wildlife was so perfect.
6. Farmers Market- We didn't go as often as we should have but it was one of our favorites
7. Seasons- Did you know there is more than just summer? We never knew, We thought they were making it all up until we got to see it for ourselves; brown leaves, winter snow and ice, spring blooming and summer (we know all about summer!).
8. Hearing things like 'pop', 'supper', 'I suppose...', 'beach' (a lake with sand) and other Midwest slang
9. Getting anywhere in the city in traffic in 15 minutes or less!
10. Des Moines itself- The city that offers it all, convenience's of a capital city with a small town feel.

Things we will not miss

1. School
2. Tower Clinic
3. HOA at condo
4. Jet!

Things we are looking forward to now that we are leaving

1. Being with family
2. Going to Africa
3. Graduating
4. Moving on to new things
