Okay... so I know that people walk and skate and even drive on frozen lakes but today was the first time for Rob and I to walk on a frozen lake. It was so weird. We went to the park and we were both taken back when we realized it was covered in snow and the lake was frozen. I know this may sound weird to everyone because it has snowed so much and been so cold but because we had never seen the park in that way before and we weren't expecting it. It was so beautiful. We played a lot with Maddi and had a picnic. The highlight was actually being on frozen water. It was really odd. There were big cracks in it which was also weird. We had a fantastic time. Madison was so cute running all over the lake. It was fun to watch her. I have added a picture below of what the lake normally looks like! So plush and green and full of life... can you believe it is the same lake?? Now I think it will be easier to understand why were so thrown when all we saw was white. We haven't been out there since spring. What a difference a winter makes!

Alright, while the lake was frozen, there were massive cracks in it. All I could think about was those scenes in movies where people get trapped under the ice, and then seeing Bear from that Discovery show telling you how to get out of the situation. While, I may have been a little worried, but in all honesty, we were probably standing over about four feet of water.
